DO NOT ABORT YOUR DIVINE DESTINY
HEBREW 2:1–4, I SAMUEL 2

Your God-given destiny is for the salvation of many (Isa.60:15) and not just for you alone. The large place that God is giving to you is not just for you alone but for generations yet unborn. The statement, “What will be, will be” is a satanic deception. It is when you are living in line with God’s purpose and plan for your life that what God has ordained for you will come to pass, regardless of what the enemy does (Rom.8:28).

The sons of Eli had a powerful destiny in God. It was their portion to minister to the Lord and partake of the holy things of the sanctuary but the mentality of what will be, will be, came upon them that and they started to misbehave in Israel. They misbehaved and lived contrary to the ethics and rules that guided the priesthood so much that God was forced to cancel His program for their lineage. Hophni and Phinehas aborted their own destiny. Samson also aborted his own destiny; with his own hands he abruptly stopped the program of God for his life. Destiny can be aborted. There are laws that sustain all divine destinies; submit yourself to those laws. It is laws that sustain goals. Pay the price for your divine destiny. Your journey will end where your price ends.
When you look critically, you will find out that it was almost the same process that all the men of destiny in the Bible whose divine destinies were aborted adopted. Be it Reuben (Gen.49:1 – 3), Samson (Judges 13 – 16) or the sons of Eli (1Sam.2 – 3), the processes were all the same and are the following:
They promoted personal giftedness above character development.
They left their place in destiny.
They made alliance with strange spirits.
They refused fathering.
They promoted their personal comfort above the will of God.
They broke prophetic instructions over their lives.
They did not separate between the holy and the common.
Labour to protect your divine destiny from satanic assaults and it shall be well with you in Jesus’
Name.
PRAYER: Father, I receive your help not to abort your program for my destiny in the name of Jesus. Amen.
